Private Lesson Program
The Hopkinton Music Association, in conjunction with the Hopkinton Music Department, sponsors an after-school private lesson program for middle and high school students. Professional music teachers and performers offer lessons for band and orchestra instruments.
Families can review prices, dates, and policies below. The full 2026-2027 letter is also available and includes the registration information shared with families.

Registration Fee
- $35 registration fee per student.
- Multiple registrations in one family are capped at $45.
- The registration fee is paid when registration is submitted.
- Tuition invoices are sent separately by HMA via PayPal.

Program Policies
- Students meet with teachers once each week after school in the Middle School or High School music room.
- Students are expected to attend every lesson. Lessons are tuition-based and are paid for whether students attend or not.
- Lessons are only made up if the teacher cancels for illness or a professional reason.
- If school is canceled or dismissed early because of weather, lessons are canceled and the teacher will schedule a make-up lesson.
- If a student does not wish to continue into the second semester, notify the teacher and copy Dawn Mendoza by Friday, December 18, 2026.
